Arrival/Dismissal Procedures

Morning Arrival

•    Our school start time is 7:40 am. Students should be in their seats and ready for instruction at 7:40 am.    After 7:40, all students must enter the school through the front office. Students will then pick up a tardy pass and proceed to class.
•    For your child’s safety, no students are allowed to be at school before 7:20 am, unsupervised. (Staff members will not be monitoring students before 7:20am)
•    The doors will be open at 7:20 am and breakfast is served from 7:20 – 7:35 am.           •    All students will be allowed to walk to class starting at 7:20 am.
•    Students need to arrive early, so they can be in class at 7:40 am

 
CAR RIDERS

• Car riders may use the front or back driveway in the mornings.
• We would like for parents who would turn RIGHT on to Diamond Back Lane OR go STRAIGHT across to Trail Stone to use the back of the school for drop off in the mornings.
•  Parents using the front driveway for drop off in the mornings are requested to use that driveway if they are going to turn LEFT onto Diamond Back Lane.  
• School personnel will be at the front and back of the school to assist students.
• Parents should stay in a single line.  
• Students should be ready to exit the car on the curbside upon arrival
• For safety reasons, drivers should not exit their vehicle for any reason.
• Parents of PACEE/ECSE students may wait in the line and pull to the PACEE/ECSE loading zone in front of the west bike racks.

 

Walkers

•    Walkers and bikers will enter through the front main doors of the school. 

• Bikes should be parked and locked on the designated bike racks in front of the school.
• We are not responsible for lost or stolen bikes. Please make sure that bikes are locked up properly.
• Please utilize the crosswalks and crossing guards for your safety.
• Bikes, scooters, skateboards, rollerblades, etc. must be walked on school grounds for safety.

 

CAR RIDERS 

•    ALL car riders will be picked up in the back of the school. Teachers will be supervising students’ departure, and direct you where to go.
•    Please have your car visor identification sign easily visible for staff to see.
•    Each child should have received a car visor identification sign at “Meet the Teacher Night” that details the child's name and grade. 
•    Please fill out with a BLACK SHARPIE.  This sign must be visible on the car mirror as you pull into the loading zones. Visibility of the sign will assist us in providing a safe, smooth, and efficient process.

• For safety and consistency, cars will form a line from the back of the school down to the stop sign. The car line will continue straight down Diamond Back Lane in front of the school. Please do  not turn left or cut across Diamondback.
• Drivers should not exit their vehicle for any reason.
• After the first day of school, if you do not have a sign, you will be asked to go to the front office to pick your student up there.
• Students will need to enter the car and buckle themselves into their seat. If you need extra time or to assist your student, inform the staff member with your student and they will direct you to a safe area to do so.
• Car riders will not be released in the car line after 3:15. After 3:15 cars will need to go to the front of the school where students will be waiting in the front office.

 
WALKERS

• Kinder and First Grade walkers will be dismissed from the Kinder doors. Parents must have the identification sign when picking up their students.
• Older siblings who are picking up younger siblings (K&1) will be dismissed through the main building and will form a line by the Kinder doors to pick up younger siblings (older siblings will need identification cards as well).
•  2nd through 5th grade walkers will be dismissed from the front of the building and the 4th grade doors.
• Students must walk to the crosswalk before crossing the street.
• Students must walk their bike, scooter, skateboard, etc. until they are off school grounds. 
• Students will  not be allowed to cross the driveway.
• Please do not use the walker dismissal for car pick up and refrain from parking along the street in front.
• After the first day of school, if you do not have a sign, you will be asked to go to the front office to pick your student up there.

 
BUS RIDERS/ DAYCARE

 Bus riders will be led out by teachers and will load in front of the school. (Day Care will load from the bus lane as well) 
 

Please submit this FORM by 2pm, to ensure we send your student to the correct dismissal zone.  Please submit one response for each student. 

The 2:00pm ride change form deadline allows us to make sure staff, teachers, and student's know of the change with enough time before dismissal to make sure they make it home safely and efficiently. We do understand that emergencies happen and we completely understand, in these cases please call the office with last minute emergency changes so that we can make sure the appropriate staff and student know of the ride change.
