On January 12 we had an exciting Campus Competition with 22 student teams and 1 teacher team. That's over 120 readers and just over 600 books read.
Our 1st place team will compete in the District Competition.

Ultimate Book Challenge

It's still the same  reading competition designed to improve reading and comprehension while also building enthusiasm for reading.  Students will compete in teams to show their knowledge of 10 pre-selected books.  This year, the books on the Ultimate Book Challenge list are all current or former Bluebonnet nominees. Traditionally,Sendera Ranch Elementary School has over 120 participants each year. Third, Fourth and Fifth Grade students who want to participate will have their parents sign a permission form for participation that outlines the reader's responsibilities. These readers are expected to attend our weekly Lunch Bunch practice sessions during lunch and recess once a week. Ultimate Book Challenge Lunch Bunch is supposed to be a fun learning experience. All participants will demonstrate respect,courtesy and responsibility during these practices.
To be placed on a team for competition readers should read at least the following:
3rd Grade: 3 books from the list
4th Grade: 4 books from the list
5th Grade: 5 books from the list
